Vivo Y500i Launched in China: Full Specs, Features & Expected Price in Nepal

So Vivo just dropped the Vivo Y500i in China, and it’s another phone in their Y-series. Remember the Y500 and Y500 Pro from last year? Well, this new one has some cool stuff that most people would actually use. What’s nice about the Y500i is the battery lasts for days, you get tons of storage space, and the 5G works really well. If you need a cheap phone that won’t give you headaches, this might be worth looking at.

Display & Design

The Vivo Y500i comes with a 6.75-inch LCD screen that shows 1570 x 720 pixels. Now, the 120Hz refresh rate is where it gets fun – everything just flows nicely when you’re scrolling or gaming. The screen takes up 90.60 percent of the front with a 19.6:9 ratio, so there’s lots of room for watching stuff and using apps. Size-wise, it’s 166.64 x 78.43 x 8.49mm and weighs around 219 grams. You can grab it in Galaxy Silver, Obsidian Black, or Phoenix Gold.

Performance

Inside, the Vivo Y500i has the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip running things. You can get it with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM. Here’s something funny – the 8GB model actually uses faster LPDDR5X memory, while the 12GB one has LPDDR4X. Storage goes from 128GB up to 512GB, and it’s all UFS 3.1 which is pretty quick. Plus, there’s this memory fusion thing that can add 8GB or 12GB of virtual RAM depending on which model you buy.

The Vivo Y500i doesn’t go crazy with cameras – it keeps things simple. There’s a 50-megapixel camera on the back with f/1.8 and autofocus that takes decent shots. For selfies and video calls, you get a 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.2. Nothing fancy here, but it’ll work fine for Instagram and everyday photos.

Battery

Now here’s the best part – the battery on this thing is crazy good. We’re talking 7,200mAh here, which means you can go days without charging. And when you finally do need juice, the 44W Fast Charge gets you back up pretty quick. If you’re always traveling or stuck to your phone all day, this battery is a real game-changer.

Conclusion

If the Y500i smartphone makes it to Nepal, it could be a good mid-range choice. There’s a lot to like – that huge battery, decent performance, IP68/69 rating so dust and water won’t mess it up, and it’s got SGS Gold Label 5-star drop protection too. Nobody knows the Vivo Y500i Nepal launch date yet, but keep watching Vivo’s official pages if you want to know when it’s coming here.
