Honor recently launched two fresh budget phones in Nepal — the Honor X5c and the Honor X5c Plus. These two sit in the budget category, so if someone is looking for a no-nonsense daily phone without spending a fortune, these might be worth checking out. Both models bring a few upgrades over the older versions, which makes them a bit more interesting this time around.

Both phones have a 6.74-inch LCD screen with 90Hz refresh rate, which makes everyday scrolling feel smooth. People who used last year’s model with the Helio G36 will notice the difference right away — that older chip struggled even with basic tasks sometimes. The G81 handles day-to-day stuff like social media, YouTube, and casual gaming without breaking a sweat. You also get 4GB of RAM with support for an additional 4GB of virtual RAM, which helps keep multiple apps open without slowdowns. Both phones ship with Android 15 under Honor’s MagicOS 9.0 skin.

This is where the two phones actually split apart in a meaningful way. The standard Honor X5c goes with a 13MP main camera and a secondary 0.08MP lens that really does not serve much of a purpose in real life.

The Honor X5c Plus gets a 50MP main camera, which is a pretty big jump and makes a real difference in outdoor shots and daylight photography. Both models come with a 5MP selfie camera up front, which is decent enough for casual photos and video calls.

Both phones pack a 5260mAh battery that should keep things running well through a full day of normal use. Charging moves up from 10W to 15W this time, and the adapter comes right in the box. Not the quickest charging out there, but it gets the job done for a budget phone.
