Design & Display
The OPPO K14 5G comes in three colour options: Prism White, Prism Violet and Icy Blue, all with a clean matte finish that does a good job keeping fingerprints away. At 8.61mm thick and 212g, it feels solid in hand. One of the biggest talking points here is the IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings all at once, which means the phone can handle dust, water submersion and even high-pressure water jets. That kind of protection is rarely seen at this price range.
The display is a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1,125 nits. Outdoor visibility is decent and the screen does its job for daily use. People who prefer Full HD panels may find the resolution a bit low but for most users at this price, it works just fine.
Performance
Inside the OPPO K14 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, a 6nm chip that comes with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. Virtual RAM support goes up to 8GB as well and there is a microSD slot for extra storage if needed.
The Dimensity 6300 is not the newest chip around but it handles everyday tasks without breaking a sweat. Scrolling, streaming and casual gaming all run smoothly. However, Vivo’s T5x 5G comes with the newer Dimensity 7400 Turbo at almost the same price, which makes OPPO’s chip choice a bit hard to defend. On the bright side, OPPO has added a 3,900mm² vapor chamber to manage heat during longer use.
Camera
The rear camera setup on the OPPO K14 5G includes a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor. The depth camera is mostly there to fill the spec sheet since the software can handle portrait effects on its own. Video recording goes up to 1080p at 60fps from the rear camera.
The front camera is an 8MP f/2.2 shooter for selfies and video calls. OPPO has also thrown in AI camera tools like AI Eraser 2.0, AI Perfect Shot, AI Recompose and AI Clarity Enhancer to help clean up photos without much effort from the user.
