    Display & Design

The Redmi A7 comes with a 6.88-inch IPS LCD screen with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi went with a cleaner camera module design this time placed over a transparent housing available in Black, Sky Blue and Orchid Purple colors. Brightness peaks at 450 nits so outdoor use can be a little tricky but DC dimming and TÜV Rheinland low-blue-light certification keep it comfortable for indoor and nighttime use.

    Performance

Inside the Redmi A7 runs on the Unisoc T7250 chipset built on a 12nm process with an octa-core setup featuring two performance and six efficiency cores. It comes in a single configuration with 3GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 storage with microSD card support for those who need more room. The phone runs Android 15 Go Edition which fits well for a device sitting at this price point. For everyday tasks like scrolling through social media and some light gaming it handles things without breaking a sweat.

    Camera

Here is where things get a little disappointing. The Redmi A7 carries a single 13MP f/2.2 rear camera which is actually a step back from the 32MP f/2.0 sensor on its predecessor the Redmi A5. The front camera is an 8MP f/2.0 shooter sitting in a teardrop notch and that part at least stays the same. Both cameras can record 1080p video at 30fps. For quick snapshots and selfies it gets the job done but anyone expecting sharp detailed photos might want to look elsewhere.

    Battery & Connectivity

The Redmi A7 packs a 5200mAh battery that should comfortably get most users through a full day without reaching for the charger. It charges at 15W through a USB-C port and a full top-up takes roughly 2.5 hours. For connections there is dual-SIM 4G LTE support, WiFi 5 dual-band, Bluetooth 5.2 and GPS with Glonass Galileo and BDS. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor handles biometrics and works pretty reliably for unlocking the phone quickly throughout the day.

Redmi A7 Price and Availability in Nepal

Redmi A7 costs NPR 15,999 in Nepal for the 3GB/64GB model. On top of that Xiaomi Nepal is giving a 2-year warranty with it which honestly feels like a good deal for a phone at this price. You can pick it up from any Xiaomi authorized store near you.

    Conclusion

The Redmi A7 is a straightforward pick for users who want a big screen and long battery life without spending too much. The camera drop from its predecessor is a bit hard to overlook but at NPR 15,999 with a 2-year warranty it still makes reasonable sense for first-time buyers or those upgrading from a very old phone. Wide availability across Nepal makes it easy to get your hands on one as well.
