    Display and Design

The GT 50 Pro keeps that bold gamer-style look with a boxy build, RGB lighting on the back, and a transparent panel at the bottom showing the built-in liquid cooler. The phone is 162.4 x 77.2 x 8.2 mm in size and weighs 198 grams. It also carries an IP64 rating so dust and water splashes are not something to worry about.

Up front, the phone gets a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 1.5K resolution of 2644 x 1208 pixels. The display runs between 30Hz and 144Hz depending on what you are doing, gets up to 1,600 nits outdoors and can hit 4,500 nits for HDR content. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i keeps the screen safe from scratches and drops.

    Performance

The Infinix GT 50 Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chip, built on a 4nm process. It uses an all-big core CPU setup and scores around 1,808,355 on AnTuTu 11, which is a fair jump over the Dimensity 8350 Ultimate found in the GT 30 Pro.

What really changes things here is the HydroFlow Liquid Cooling system. The GT 30 Pro only had passive cooling but the GT 50 Pro now has an active micro-pump that spreads heat across a 6,437 mm² area. There is also a 7,700 mm² vapor chamber and a bladeless piezoelectric plate working together to keep temperatures in check during long gaming sessions. Infinix also sells an optional external cooler for even heavier use.

With this cooling setup, the phone handles 144fps gaming on popular titles like CODM, Free Fire, MLBB, Arena Breakout, Blood Strike and Standoff 2. It comes with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM along with 256GB or 512GB UFS 4.1 storage options.

The phone ships with XOS 16 based on Android 16. Infinix is promising 3 major Android updates along with 5 years of security patches, which is a big step up from the GT 30 Pro.

    Gaming Triggers

The shoulder triggers on the GT 50 Pro have gotten a proper upgrade this time around. You can map them to 8 different points with 10 levels of pressure sensitivity. Whether you tap, press lightly, or press hard, each action can trigger something different in-game. Outside gaming, these triggers can also handle camera zoom, screenshots or screen recordings. Everything is managed through the XArena app.

    Camera

This is where things get a bit mixed. Infinix swapped the 108MP main camera from the GT 30 Pro for a 50MP f/1.8 shooter. The megapixel count has gone down but the new sensor brings OIS, which helps a lot with video stability and low-light shots. The secondary lens is an 8MP ultrawide. On the front, there is a 13MP hole-punch camera. For a gaming-focused phone, the camera setup gets the job done.

    Battery and Connectivity

The GT 50 Pro packs a 6500mAh battery, around 20% bigger than what the GT 30 Pro offered. Charging options include 45W wired and 30W wireless. Reverse charging is also supported at 10W wired and 5W wireless. Bypass charging works on both wired and wireless, though the wireless version requires the GT MagCharge Cooler 2.0 sold separately.

For connectivity, the phone covers 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, dual nano-SIM support and USB-C. Dolby Atmos is also on board, adding some directional audio during gameplay that helps with things like hearing footsteps or locating enemies by sound.
