OnePlus has been quietly building something for hardcore mobile gamers and the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra is the result. Launched in China this phone doesn’t try to be everything for everyone. It’s focused on gaming and it shows. Big battery flagship chip and even a custom controller to go with it. This is clearly a phone built for people who take their mobile gaming seriously.

- 50MP Rear Camera with OIS and 16MP Front Camera
- Compatible with Gun God Game Controller and Magnetic Cooling Fan
Display and Design

The Ace 6 Ultra comes with a 6.78-inch flat OLED screen running at 165Hz the same panel quality found on the flagship OnePlus 15. Brightness goes up to 3600 nits for HDR moments and stays solid at 1800 nits outdoors so visibility is never really an issue. The 100% DCI-P3 color coverage means game graphics look rich and accurate too.
On the outside the phone feels solid in hand. Flat edges and rounded corners make it comfortable whether you’re holding it upright or sideways during a gaming session. Two color choices are available “Ace Awakening” which has a cool laser-engraved back and “Metal Storm” for a cleaner look. The phone also carries IP66 IP68 IP69 and IP69K ratings so a little water or dust won’t cause any trouble.
Performance

The Dimensity 9500 chip inside this phone is no joke. Built on a 3nm process it sits right up there with the best mobile processors available right now. OnePlus also added their Glacier Cooling System underneath to stop the phone from throttling when things get intense. During testing games like Delta Force and Peacekeeper Elite held above 164 fps for three hours straight without breaking a sweat. Valorant Mobile COD Mobile and Arena Breakout all hit 165 fps too. The 4000Hz touch sampling rate keeps inputs feeling sharp and immediate which makes a real difference in fast games.
OnePlus Gun God Game Controller

Alongside the phone OnePlus also released a physical game controller called the “Gun God Game Controller.” It’s built for shooter games and attaches to the phone to give you four extra trigger buttons. Each button responds in just 1.8ms which is fast enough that you’ll never feel like the hardware is holding you back. There’s also a small e-sport antenna built into the controller to help keep your connection stable during matches. When the phone gets warm you can snap a magnetic cooling fan onto the back to keep temperatures down. The controller also works with the OnePlus 15R and Turbo 6 so it’s not just a one-phone accessory.
Camera
The camera setup here is straightforward. A 50MP main shooter with OIS handles most situations well enough and the 8MP ultrawide covers wider shots. Up front there’s a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls. It gets the job done for day-to-day use but if photography is your priority this probably isn’t your phone. OnePlus clearly put the budget into performance and battery here rather than the camera system.

Battery and Connectivity

The 8600mAh battery is genuinely one of the biggest things going for this phone. OnePlus says you can game at 165 fps for over 7 hours on a single charge which is quite a claim. Even navigation runs for over 13 hours. Charging is handled by 120W SuperVOOC which fills the battery completely in 49 minutes. A quick 10-minute charge gives around 6 hours of use which is handy when you’re in a rush. OnePlus also backs the battery with a 5-year health warranty which shows some confidence in the longevity.
Connectivity is well covered with Wi-Fi 7, 5G, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, NFC, IR Blaster and a USB Type-C 2.0 port with OTG support. Everything feels current and well thought out.

Conclusion
If mobile gaming is your thing the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra makes a pretty strong case for itself. The Dimensity 9500 keeps performance rock solid the massive battery means you won’t be hunting for a charger mid-session and the controller adds a layer of comfort that most phones simply don’t offer. The camera is nothing special and it runs ColorOS 16 instead of OxygenOS which is worth knowing before you buy. For anyone in Nepal it’s worth keeping an eye on whether OnePlus brings this one over because the expected pricing looks fair for what you’re getting.
