Samsung has come up with another mid-range phone and this time it’s the Galaxy A37 5G. The phone has now officially landed in Nepal and is available for purchase. If someone is looking for a good everyday smartphone without spending flagship money, the Samsung Galaxy A37 5G is something worth checking out.
- Exynos 1480 chipset
- 5000mAh battery with 45W charging
- 50MP Sony IMX906 rear camera
- 6.7-inch Super AMOLED 120Hz display
Display & Design

The A37 looks pretty much the same as its predecessor with the same size, same weight and same overall build. It has a glass front and back with a plastic frame and IP68 water resistance which is quite good for this price range.
The display is a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness hits 1900 nits which means it works well under direct sunlight. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+ and the colors look great with deep blacks and rich tones. One thing to keep in mind is that the A37 does not have HDR10+ support which its sibling the A57 does have. For most people though that will not make a big difference in day to day use. Color options include Black, Gray-green, Lavender and White.
Performance
This is where things get a bit unexpected. Samsung has replaced the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 from the A36 with the Exynos 1480 and honestly it turns out to be a good call. The Exynos 1480 moves through the interface more smoothly and has fewer stutters which makes the phone feel faster compared to the older model.
The phone comes with Android 16 and One UI 8.5 right out of the box along with Samsung’s six year OS and security update support. RAM goes up to 12GB and storage options are either 128GB or 256GB. For people who use their phone for social media, watching videos and casual gaming the Samsung A37 5G should handle things just fine.
Camera

The back has three cameras which are a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide and a 5MP macro lens. The main camera now uses the Sony IMX906 sensor which does a better job in low light compared to before. Photos taken during the day come out looking good with natural colors.
The ultrawide does the job but it is not as sharp as the main camera which is pretty normal at this price. The macro is there for those who want to use it. Both the rear cameras and the 12MP front camera can record 4K video at 30fps which is a good feature for people who make videos. At this price though not having a zoom camera is something buyers should think about.

Battery & Connectivity
Samsung went with the same 5000mAh battery as last year which is not a problem at all. Most users can get around 7 hours of screen time out of it which is more than enough for a full day. The phone charges at 45W through a cable which is okay but not the quickest around. There is no wireless charging and the charger is not included in the box which is a bit of a letdown.
For connections the phone has Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC depending on the region and USB-C 2.0. It also comes with the usual sensors like accelerometer, gyroscope, compass and virtual proximity. The fingerprint scanner sits under the display.

Conclusion
The Samsung Galaxy A37 5G brings a solid mid-range package to Nepal with a bright AMOLED display, the Exynos 1480 chip, all day battery life and six years of software support.
