    Display & Design

Let’s start with the screen because this is one area Samsung didn’t mess with and honestly, they didn’t need to. The same 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel from the A56 shows up here and it’s genuinely a good display. Colors look natural, HDR10+ content plays back nicely and the peak brightness of 1,900 nits means you won’t be squinting outdoors.

You also get the 120Hz adaptive refresh rate at FHD+ so day-to-day scrolling feels buttery smooth. The phone itself is slimmer this time around, coming in at just 6.9mm and 179g, which feels noticeably better in hand. Gorilla Glass Victus+ covers the front and back, the frame is aluminum and you get IP68 water resistance too. Color choices are Awesome Black, Icy Blue, Lilac and Navy.

    Performance

This is where things get interesting. Samsung has swapped in the Exynos 1680 on a 4nm process, stepping up from the Exynos 1580 in the A56. The new Xclipse 550 GPU also comes along and that makes a real difference in gaming.

The A56 could handle everyday tasks just fine but gaming was always a bit of a weak spot. The A57 fixes that. With better chip performance and a larger vapor chamber keeping things cool, you can actually push the phone harder without hitting a wall. You get up to 12GB RAM and storage options of 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. It runs One UI 8.5 on Android 16 right out of the box and Samsung is backing it with six years of OS and security updates which is great value at this price point.

    Camera

Here’s where some people might raise an eyebrow. The camera setup is exactly the same as the A56. You get a 50MP f/1.8 main lens with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide at f/2.2 and a 5MP macro. The selfie camera is a 12MP shooter.

In daylight the main camera does a solid job. Shots come out sharp and colors stay true to life. The ultrawide is decent but it struggles when the light drops, with shadow detail taking a hit. The real gap though is still no telephoto lens. Samsung crops the 50MP sensor for 2x zoom and it works okay but it’s not the same as a proper optical zoom. At this price, phones like the Nothing Phone 4a and Pixel 10a offer more on the camera front. Video goes up to 4K at 30fps which covers most needs.

    Battery & Connectivity

The battery story is the same as before. A 5,000mAh cell with 45W wired charging is what you get and while that’s not bad, it’s also not exciting in 2025. Chinese brands at this price are pushing 6,000 to 6,500mAh batteries and some upcoming phones are going way beyond that.

On the connectivity side you get Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6 and 5G SA/NSA so nothing to complain about there. The under-display optical fingerprint scanner works well for quick unlocking. Samsung has also brought its Galaxy AI features along, things like voice transcription, AI Select for pulling text from your screen and better search capabilities built right into the phone.

Samsung Galaxy A57 5G Price and Availability in Nepal

The Galaxy A57 5G is now official and Nepal has its pricing locked in too. Here’s what you’ll be paying if you’re planning to pick one up:

Samsung Galaxy A57 5G Price in Nepal (Official)
    8GB / 256GB NPR 84,999
    12GB / 512GB NPR 89,999

Both variants should be available at your nearest Samsung store and through the usual online shops around Nepal. The price gap between the two isn’t massive so if you’re someone who stores a lot of stuff on their phone, going for the bigger storage option actually makes a lot of sense.

    Conclusion

At the end of the day, the Galaxy A57 5G is one of those phones that just gets the job done without trying too hard to impress you. The thinner body is a nice touch, the Exynos 1680 is a real improvement over what came before and getting six years of software updates is genuinely something to appreciate. Sure, the camera and battery aren’t exactly jaw-dropping but if you just want a solid phone that works well day after day and stays updated for the long haul, the A57 5G is absolutely worth considering.
