Honor Magic 8 Pro Air Launched in China: Sleek Design, 5500mAh Battery & Expected Price in Nepal

Honor released another device in the Magic 8 lineup – say hello to the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air. The phone is thin as a wafer and screams premium quality. MediaTek’s flagship processor handles everything inside and the spec sheet doesn’t disappoint. Here’s what you need to know about the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air – from what it offers to what it’ll probably cost in Nepal.

Display & Design

At 6.1mm thick and 155 grams, this phone is ridiculously lightweight. Your pocket won’t even notice it’s there. The back camera design takes inspiration from other flagships while keeping its own identity. IP68/69 certification protects against water and dust damage. Color options include Shadow Black, Fairly Purple, Feather White and Light Orange.

The display is a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with 2640 x 1216 resolution. That 120Hz refresh rate makes everything glide across the screen. Brightness maxes out at 600 nits locally, so you can use it outside without squinting. An ultrasonic fingerprint reader lives underneath the screen.

Performance

MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 processor runs the show here, manufactured using 3nm process. The CPU arrangement uses “All Big Core” – one 4.21GHz C1 Ultra, three 3.5GHz C1 Premium and four 2.7GHz C1 Pro cores. Gaming sessions and multitasking won’t slow this thing down. The AI NPU 990 handles machine learning stuff. RAM goes up to 16GB and storage maxes out at 1TB. Software is MagicOS 10 sitting on Android 16.

The back holds three lenses. First up is a 50MP main sensor with 1/1.3-inch size and f/1.6 aperture – nighttime shots won’t be a problem. Next is a 64MP periscope telephoto with 3.2x optical zoom and OIS to keep things steady. The third is a 50MP ultrawide for capturing more in the frame. Selfies get handled by a 50MP front shooter. Both front and back can record 4K video at 60fps.

Battery & Connectivity

The 5500mAh battery is impressive considering how thin this phone is. You won’t be scrambling for a charger by afternoon. The 80W wired charging tops it up fast. There’s 50W wireless charging too if cables annoy you. Connectivity includes WiFi 7, 5G networks, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C.
