Realme started 2026 by launching two new phones in India – the Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+. This time, the company upgraded the Number series with Samsung’s 200MP ISOCELL HP5 camera and got designer Naoto Fukasawa to work on the design.
Both phones have 7000mAh batteries, 144Hz screens, and look nice. You can buy them in India now, and they should land in Nepal within a few weeks.
Display & Design
Realme 16 Pro+

The Pro+ has a 6.8-inch curved AMOLED screen that gets super bright at 6,500 nits – good for using outside in sunlight. The 144Hz refresh rate makes scrolling look smooth. The back uses plant-based material that feels soft. Colors are Master Gold, Master Grey, or Camellia Pink (India only). It handles water well with IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings.
Realme 16 Pro

The regular Pro has a 6.78-inch flat AMOLED screen with 144Hz and hits 1,400 nits brightness. It’s lighter at 192g and easier to hold with one hand. The flat sides give you better grip. It comes in Master Gold, Master Grey, or Orchid Purple. Water resistance is the same as the Plus.
Performance
Realme 16 Pro+

The Pro+ runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Daily tasks like apps and browsing work fine, and you can play Call of Duty Mobile on high settings. The phone gets warm during long gaming sessions but nothing crazy.
Realme 16 Pro

The regular Pro uses MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, but the RAM is LPDDR4X instead of the faster LPDDR5X. For social media, texting, and everyday stuff, it works fine. Gaming performance isn’t as strong as the Plus though. The slower RAM is a weird choice when the price difference isn’t that big.
Camera
Realme 16 Pro+
The Pro+ has three back cameras: 200MP main, 50MP telephoto, and 8MP wide-angle. Front camera is 50MP. You can shoot in Vibrant mode (makes colors pop) or Natural mode (keeps colors real). There’s also Vibe Master Mode with 21 different styles. The telephoto lens takes clearer photos than the main camera. Night shots are okay but look overly edited sometimes. LightMe and StyleMe let you edit photos afterwards.
Realme 16 Pro
The regular Pro only has two cameras – 200MP main and 8MP wide-angle. No telephoto. Front camera is the same 50MP. Photos look good in daylight with sharp details and nice colors. Zoom is digital only, so it’s not great. Night photos are mediocre – you’ll see noise in darker areas. Still okay for the price.
Battery
Realme 16 Pro+
There’s a big 7000mAh battery with 80W charging. Lasts a full day easy, longer if you don’t use your phone much. The 80W charger comes in the box and charges to 52% in 22 minutes. Full charge takes around 56 minutes.
Realme 16 Pro
Same 7000mAh battery with 80W charging. Battery life is a bit better – light users can go 2 days. Charging hits 65% in 33 minutes and takes about 63 minutes for a full charge.
