The X300 Ultra sports a large 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display running at up to 144Hz with a sharp 1440×3168 resolution. At 510 ppi and a peak brightness of 4500 nits, the screen is easily one of the best on any phone right now. Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support make watching videos and photos a real treat.

Design-wise, Vivo has gone flat this generation which is a noticeable change from the curved panel on the X200 Ultra. The phone measures just 8.2mm thin despite having a bigger battery inside which is pretty impressive. It comes in Black, Silver and Red with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The aluminum frame and glass build feel solid and premium in hand.

    Performance

Under the hood, the X300 Ultra runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 on a 3nm process which is one of the fastest mobile chipsets out there right now. Paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, the phone handles everything you throw at it without breaking a sweat.

Vivo has also added dedicated VS1 and V3+ imaging chips that work alongside the main processor to handle the camera processing separately. The phone comes with Android 16 running OriginOS 6 on top and Vivo has promised five major OS upgrades which means good long-term support for buyers.

    Camera

This is where the Vivo X300 Ultra really stands out from the rest. The triple rear camera setup is led by a 200MP Sony LYT-901 main sensor on a 1/1.12-inch chip with gimbal OIS which is one of the biggest sensors you will find on a phone today. Next to it is another 200MP periscope telephoto sensor at 3.7x optical zoom with CIPA 7.0-rated OIS and a 50MP Sony LYT-818 ultrawide at 116 degrees with its own OIS.

What makes the whole camera setup even more exciting is the optional Zeiss Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra which takes the telephoto to 400mm equivalent optically and with in-sensor crop, you can get near-lossless reach up to 800mm. There is also a 5MP multispectral sensor with 12 color channels that works only to get the colors right in every shot. All lenses carry Zeiss T* coating and Zeiss APO certification sits on the telephoto. For selfies, the 50MP front camera with autofocus shoots 4K at 60fps.

The X300 Ultra packs a 6600mAh silicon-carbon battery which is a good step up from what rivals like the Galaxy S26 Ultra (5000mAh) or iPhone 17 Pro Max (5100mAh) bring to the table. Wired charging goes up to 100W getting the phone fully charged in roughly 30 to 35 minutes. 40W wireless charging and reverse charging are also on board.

For connectivity, the phone has Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 with aptX Lossless and LHDC 5, NFC, USB-C 3.2 with DisplayPort and even an IR blaster. The 16GB/1TB variant also gets satellite SOS support. Stereo speakers with Hi-Res audio finish off the package nicely.
