The iQOO Neo 12 has officially launched in China with a clear focus on mobile gamers. The phone packs the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, a 185Hz 2K display, a 9,000mAh battery plus an active cooling fan. Let’s take a closer look at what the phone brings, along with its expected price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.
- 6.83-inch 185Hz AMOLED display

- 9,000mAh battery with 100W charging
- 50MP Sony IMX921 camera with OIS
iQOO Neo 12 Overview
Design and Display
The phone follows a clean design with flat edges and a centered punch-hole camera, with a rectangular rear camera module. It comes in Swift Shadow Black and Frostblade Blue, plus a silver-white Contender finish. The handset weighs 225g or 229g depending on the version, and the slim 8.5mm body of the black and blue versions feels easy to hold. It also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
The iQOO Neo 12 gets a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with a 3200 x 1440 resolution and a refresh rate of up to 185Hz. Peak brightness reaches 2,200 nits, so outdoor viewing should be comfortable even under harsh sunlight. The sharp pixel density keeps text and icons crisp. A separate display chip handles 2K output at high refresh rates while using less power.
Performance and Software
Power on the iQOO Neo 12 comes from the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which works together with iQOO’s new Q3 gaming chip. The company claims a 20% CPU improvement, while the Q3 chip brings 60% more performance and 40% better energy efficiency than before.
Memory options include 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5X RAM paired with UFS 4.1 storage, which should keep app loading and file transfers quick. No official AnTuTu score has surfaced yet. Software is OriginOS 7 based on Android 17.
Gaming
The iQOO Neo 12 gaming phone label fits well, as more than 50 games reportedly run natively at 185fps. Ray tracing, super resolution and frame interpolation are supported too. The touch chip offers sampling rates of up to 5,000Hz in supported games, which should help with quick reactions.
Cooling is a major highlight here. An active fan with three speed settings works alongside a vapor chamber to keep heat in check during long matches. Bypass charging also reduces heat when playing while plugged in, which makes marathon sessions more comfortable.
Camera
The main camera is a 50MP Sony IMX921 sensor with a 1/1.56-inch size, an f/1.88 aperture along with optical image stabilization. An 8MP ultrawide shooter sits beside it. The iQOO Neo 12 skips a telephoto lens, so zoom shots will depend on digital cropping rather than true optical reach.
Video shooters get 8K recording on the rear camera, while the 16MP front camera covers selfies and video calls. The setup suits everyday photography well. The missing telephoto lens and the basic ultrawide limit creative range a little.

Battery and Connectivity
The 9,000mAh cell is a big jump from the 7,500mAh unit used in the previous generation. It relies on fifth-generation silicon anode technology, which helps pack more capacity into the body. Charging stays at 100W wired, with bypass charging included to reduce heat during long gaming sessions.
Connectivity covers Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC plus an infrared blaster. Stereo speakers handle audio for games and videos. The USB-C port supports digital headphones only, and there is no microSD card slot. An ultrasonic fingerprint sensor sits under the display for quick unlocking. The iQOO Neo 12 battery and charging setup looks well suited for heavy daily use.
