Oppo Find X9 Review for Nepal: Is It Worth the Price?

Oppo has officially launched its latest flagship, the Oppo Find X9, bringing a fresh upgrade in design, performance, and camera technology and I’ve been checking it out to see if it’s actually worth buying here in Nepal. It’s their latest flagship that costs less than the Pro version but still packs some serious tech. You get a massive battery, Hasselblad cameras, and the new MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor.

What caught my attention is how Oppo focused on practical stuff instead of just fancy features nobody uses. If you’re the type who takes lots of photos around Kathmandu or needs a phone that won’t die halfway through the day, keep reading. I’m gonna break down everything you need to know before spending your money on this phone.

Display & Design

The 6.59-inch screen on this phone is really something. It’s AMOLED with 120Hz, which means scrolling feels buttery smooth. Those bezels around the screen? Only 1.15mm thick. That’s tiny. You barely notice them when you’re using the phone.

Brightness goes crazy high—1,800 nits normally and 3,600 nits when you’re watching HDR videos. I took it outside in full afternoon sun and had zero trouble seeing what’s on screen.

The back is matte glass with aluminum on the sides. Feels premium without being slippery. And get this—it’s got IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings. Translation? It can survive Nepal’s monsoons, dust, and even accidental drops in water. That’s peace of mind right there.

Performance

Alright, so the Find X9 has MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chip inside. It’s built on 3nm technology, which is pretty cutting-edge stuff. What does that mean for you? Apps open fast, games run smooth, and you can switch between like 20 apps without things slowing down.

There’s up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage if you go for the top model. Gaming performance is wild too—the Mali-G1 Ultra GPU handles heavy games while staying cool and not killing your battery.

Software-wise, it runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. Oppo promises five years of updates and six years of security patches. That’s rare. Most phones get abandoned after two years. I threw everything at this phone—games, photo editing, video calls—and it never stuttered once.

Camera

Now we’re talking. The camera setup here is legit. You’ve got three 50MP cameras working together, all tuned by Hasselblad. The main one uses Sony’s LYT-808 sensor with stabilization. Your photos come out sharp even if you’re walking or your hands aren’t steady.

The telephoto gives you 3x zoom, which is perfect for getting close-up shots without actually moving closer. Then there’s the ultrawide for those big landscape shots or when you’re trying to fit everyone in a group photo.

Here’s the cool part—there’s this 9-channel sensor that makes sure colors match across all three cameras. No more weird color shifts when you switch lenses. The 32MP front camera is okay. Takes good selfies in daylight but struggles a bit when lighting isn’t great. Still, for most people, these cameras will do everything you need and then some.

Battery

This is where the Find X9 absolutely kills it. 7,025mAh battery. Let me repeat that—seven thousand mAh. Most flagships have like 5,000mAh and call it a day. With normal use, you’re getting two to three days easy. Heavy use with gaming and camera? Still a full day, no problem.

Charging is fast too—80W wired gets you full in about 45 minutes. There’s also 50W wireless charging. For those of us in Nepal where power cuts still happen sometimes, this battery is a lifesaver.

The chip is also pretty smart about not wasting power on basic tasks. I went a whole day out—GPS on, taking photos, checking social media constantly—and still had juice left by evening. No more carrying power banks everywhere.

Oppo Find X9 Price and Availability in Nepal

Here’s the money talk. In China, it launched at CNY 4,399, in India INR 74,999 for 12GB/256GB. For Nepal, people are guessing around NPR 104,499 for the base 12GB/256GB version. That’s cheaper than the Pro but you’re not really missing much unless you want those extra camera modes. Problem is, Oppo hasn’t confirmed if or when it’s coming to Nepal officially. They showed it off in Barcelona for the global launch, so there’s hope. At this price, it’s fighting with OnePlus 15 and Vivo X300. My advice? Wait for official stores in Kathmandu to announce it.

Oppo Find X9 Pros and Cons

Let me give it to you straight. The good stuff? Battery life is insane. Best I’ve seen in a flagship. Cameras take beautiful photos with colors that look real, not oversaturated. Phone never lags or heats up. Screen is bright and looks fantastic. Water resistance means you don’t have to baby it.

Now the not-so-good parts? Base model skips wireless charging. Nepal launch isn’t confirmed yet, so you might be waiting a while. Front camera is just okay in dark places. And ColorOS has a ton of features which is great if you like customization, but it can feel overwhelming if you’re coming from something simpler like stock Android.

Conclusion

Look, the Find X9 is a solid phone. Really solid. Great screen, cameras that actually work well, performance that doesn’t disappoint, and battery life that’s borderline crazy. The Pro version has extra camera tricks, but honestly? Most people won’t miss them. If this phone hits Nepal at that price point, it’s gonna shake things up. You’re getting Hasselblad cameras, that monster battery, and years of software support. Is it worth it? Yeah, I think so. Just make sure you’re buying from an authorized dealer so you’re covered if anything goes wrong. For the price, you’re getting a lot of phone here.
